Mount Washington Valley Shopping Tips

1. Make a list of items you're looking for. When shopping with friends, note sizes and preferences to make gift giving easy.

2. Have a plan. Chart a course of places you'd like to visit. Save valuable shopping time by locating them in advance.

3. Avoid busy times. Shop mid-week, or early or late in the day. Make sure to check the hours of the stores you'd like to visit.

4. Use the buddy system. If check-out lines get long, one can hold your space.

5. Wear comfortable shoes - outlet shopping can mean hours on your feet. Wear clothes that are easy to get in and out of for trying things on.

6. Before committing to a purchase, be sure to check the store's return policy, especially on sale items. Some stores accept returns with no questions and give cash refunds or store credit.

7. Ask the sales help to find your size, point out sale items or finding out about upcoming sale dates.
